Time to read Self Discipline: Another Key For Bloggers SuccessSometimes, the key for a blogger’s success is not just all about how much time they can spend on blogging. But how much discipline they have in order to manage all the things that he must do such as working, family time, play time and so on.

Dont worry doggy Self Discipline: Another Key For Bloggers SuccessI haven’t experienced yet how to manage your time as a full time blogger or problogger because I’m still a part time blogger who’s not yet ready to leave my job as an employee. And as a part time blogger, I’ m also experiencing time management problems on all the things that I should do.

Things that should be disciplined ourselves to:

Time – Absolutely one of the most common problems of bloggers regardless of being pro or not. One of the lessons that I’ve learned from one of the best blogger in the blogosphere Yaro Starak, is to have for these three things. A time to work, play and sleep.

It is an advantage to your blogging business if your primary work is to blog. You don’t need to worry about your time schedules, quotas to reach, paper works, etc. All you need to do is to do all your task to be done as a problogger.

It will take a long time before you can leave your job and start to be a problogger. The first thing that you must have is to earn at least the same amount that you can earn as an employee on your blog.

Work – A job as an employee is not consistent when it comes on working schedules. There are times that you should work overtime because you have to. If you try to escape your duty when you need to work overtime, your boss will talk to you giving you verbal disciplinary action the next day. And it could be a reason of being fired out to your job.

Don’t rush yourself in blogging, if you need to work overtime then work for it. Blogging is just your second job at this time, so your first priority should be your primary job first. If you earn at least the same amount of money that you earn as an employee on blogging, then you don’t need to work overtime. You can now file a resignation letter and make blogging a full time job.

Sleep – It is the most important thing that we should discipline ourselves to. I know that as a blogger it is hard to sleep when there’s a task undone like posting a new blog post on our blog. But there’s always tomorrow for everything. Even the most busiest businessman should do sleep in order to face tomorrow for tons of new transactions.

Another issue is when your blog is facing a technical problem. This is the most hair splitting part of becoming a blogger. The knowledge of knowing at least the basic html codes could give you the advantage on facing this. I’m Lucky because my brother is taking a Computer Science course, he taught me the basic html codes that a blogger should know.

In blogging you don’t need to be a computer savvy, you just need a lot of hard work, consistency, a good communication skill, and most especially discipline.

Hey Rocky, nice to know that you are in a job and still you are able to manage your time well for this blogging thing. Same is the case with me too. I must say that I don’t like my job as much as this blogging thing. But I cannot leave my job for the same reasons which you are facing. Discipline is really very important. I agree. Great post !

I couldn’t agree more! As for sleep, I can’t tell you the number of times I have fallen asleep with a notebook on my lap. It’s never intentional and usually results in me sleeping in a recliner chair and waking up earlier and not well rested.
