There are so many benefits in adding a poll to a blog and it serves as an interactivity between you and your readers.
In adding a poll there is a “win-win game” that you could have. First, you’ll be solving a solution in a specific issue. Then, you could turning that poll into an article with juicy information of the results and your readers comments.
Adding a poll may also increase the traffic of your blog. You’ll found out what people think about your blog and leave valuable suggestions and comments of improving it. As you run a poll, people will also re-visit your site to take a look on the results of the poll that you have added.
But of course you’ll have to provide an interesting poll to make people come back to your blog.
How to add a poll?
Poll can be formed in any way you want. It could be one of your blog post which end in allowing readers to provide their opinion in a specific topic to your comment box. Your readers will be leaving their opinion in that comment box and keep coming back for the latest opinion.
WordPress plugin poll
You can also customize a poll into your wordpress blog. A good poll plugin example is the MircroPoll. You can go download micropoll then activate it to your admin panel.
Under the plugins tab, click on the MicroPoll. There, you’ll need to add the embed code to make your Micropoll work. Click on the Micropoll account to create an account and create a poll.
In micropoll site, you can customize your poll. You can change the text color, background color and many more. You can also create the question and answers there. And while customizing you can see a preview at the right side so you will now how your poll will looks like in your blog.
When you are ready to upload your poll, Hit on the save button. The embed HTML code will be automatically generated.
Copy that and paste it to the Micropoll settings located under plugins in your admin.
You can now go to your widgets settings and add the micropoll widget to your widgets.
