8 Mistakes That a Blog Author Should Avoid
One of the most common lines about power is “With great Power, comes great responsibility”. It was on the movie Spiderman. That line was very popular in the world. And it’s great to know that it was also used in some business establishments to inspire each staff to release inner power on working.
But that doesn’t stop there. It could also used in your blogging hobby/business to strengthen you in facing the hurdles of blogging.
One of my best blogging buddies is a part time blogger. He started to blog since November 2007 on a free sub-domain blogspot blog. Then he transferred his blog into his own domain this June 2009. He was a very busy guy. But he never missed even just one email or comment to reply on.
And that only shows how he dedicates himself on blogging at the most of his time. This just show the power he has on blogging. “He never fails to share it with every blogger he met.
Develop your personality then share them
Inspiring blogs are most read by readers since blogging was made. Everyday, there are millions of people encountering personal problems about family, money, relationship etc. But some of them are lucky to have a friend to lean on. And some of them are surfing the net to find blogs and articles to find answer to their problem.
That’s why personal blogs are one of the categories on blogging which is hot in the blogosphere. Although words are the basic tool to use, it cost nothing because you are just sharing your own experience about anything.
Everyday, personal blogs are growing. But the growth was more quickly only on blogs who share experience about any personal problems and how do they solve it. A blog who solves a problem will always be a best seller!
Appreciate every single reader by helping them to grow
When a visitor on our blog visits our blog, we then approach back on them to know them. The purpose of visiting them back could be thanking them back for visiting, visit their blog just to return the favor, reading their public profile to know them even more and emailing them back to deliver our appreciation.
I’ve found out these mistakes of blog author on approaching back a visitor:
- Requesting right away what he could benefit on the reader
- Asking the reader to do something for him
- Never introduce himself on the reader
- Never visit back on the readers URL
- Never interacts with the reader
- Never appreciate the reader’s effort on visiting his blog
- Never care to any reader of his blog
- Choosing a reader to reply on
With these mistakes you are putting a period on your blog to grow. Every single reader of our blog is very important to our blogging business/hobby because each one of them is giving their precious time just to express their self on what they feel about it. So it right to give them thanks for what they are spending is a time that could be spent in some more important things than visiting our blog.
We are blessed to have them in our blog, so we should share our blessing by helping the reader to grow even though he already have the blessings that he deserve. Never expect anything in return. Instead, expect him to grow with the words we say to them.

I agree. Interacting with your readers is the best way to go. Through building a relationship with people, it gives them reason to visit and become a loyal reader. Not only that, but this helps build credibility to your blog and that can go viral by your blog being recommended to others.
