Must Have Attitude On Blogging
Mondays to Fridays are the busiest day. Being a call center agent is one of the most popular job nowadays. I don’t know if that job is also in demand there in whatever country you are right now reading this blog post.
There are things that I have noticed on call center agents. Almost all of them are cigarette smokers.
Maybe that is because of the pressure they are experiencing on their job. I have no experience of being a call center agent, but I think that job is also related in our blogging topic because there is also a customer and caller conversation on blogging. But by this time, it’s blog author and blog reader conversation.
After a day of updating your blog, you are so excited to open your email or directly going to your blog account to check if there are people who left comment on your blog.
Your eyes starts to shine when you saw your comment box filled with people who left their comments that you thought are good comments.
You start to say “Aha! new visitors on my blog, I’m so excited to read your comment!”. Then you open the comment to moderate it to your blog.
Supposedly, you are expecting to receive good comment on your blog on the first one. But unfortunately, your eyes open wider when you read the first comment’s opening line “Piss off! What on earth comes on your mind to write about this?!”.
You said to yourself, “It’s OK, it’s just one of the comments to moderate on my blog. Let me read another comment”.
“Whoohoo!” Your ears clap when you open the second comment “You have a great post! Keep posting!” Then your mood starts to circulate in good working condition.
Excitedly, you want to read all the comments on your blog in just a minute. The next comments say “Your post is non sense” and “This blog post has no good”.
Promising that when you read the next comment and if it was another complain, you will start to investigate why comments like that. Then you got another bad one. You start to feel upset and you wish that it’s better that you shouldn’t been visited by these readers.
Lucky that you have never replied into anyone immediately, you have checked what was the problem on your post and found out that it had some grammatical errors, dead links and misspelled words due to sleepiness.
But why did you received a good comment even if you have a very horrible post? It’s because there are some blog readers who were very lazy. Maybe that good commenter on your blog just read the title of your post then glance a little your content then commented your blog.
You are very blessed to have bad comments on your post because if you don’t have them, you will never find out your weaknesses. Therefore, you will never have that chance to fix that error. You will never grow!

@Shab: That’s right! Sometimes it is right to receive bad comments than good ones all the time. Because these will be the guide to your success! Post critics should be treated as friends because when they say something bad about our blog, it’s like they are giving a gift to us.

Here are my thoughts on this topic…comments are the best thing for your blog whether positive or negative. People who say things like “Piss off!” are just taking up space and really didn’t contribute to the conversation. If they disagree, they should explain why and provide feedback. People that write “good post!” are also taking up space because they didn’t show they read the post. That may as well be marked as spam. The quality of your comments is a direct impact of the quality of the post in my opinion. It shows how well it was received by your readers. I don’t mind negative comments as long as they have substance because it helps my blog grow!

This is the same reason why I don’t moderate the comment feature in my blog site. In as much as the blogger has the liberty on the topics he writes, the readers are also open to comment as they please. Otherwise, you might as well keep your blog private, right?
Also, most of the time I am more inclined to be interested on those comments that are not in agreement with my blog post. Why? Because it gives me another angle on how other people perceives the topic.
Too much conformity equates boredom! Really!
Since you are open to negative feedback, please double check this blog. It is not enticing to read blog post that would make your forehead twitch because of grammatically erroneous entries.
To name some:
1. Your opening line, “Mondays to Fridays are the busiest day(S)”.
2. “But why did you receive(d) a good comment even if you have a very horrible post?”
3. “But unfortunately (double negative), your eyes open wider when you read the first comment’s opening line “Piss off! What on earth comes on your mind to write about this?!”.
4. And whole lot of misused prepositions.
Now I wonder how you will moderate the comments made by “Fierce Blogs”
See you around.

Hi.
I must say that i read a lot of good topics and intelligent stuff here.
ok I’m not a native English speaker so i don’t notice that quickly spelling faults ,although i make quit often a few mixing up 5 languages is confusing ,but usually i use a handy tool to check my texts : http://www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck/
It’s not infallible but very usefull.
Yes it disturbs me also when comments look more like advertisement of their own blog but that’s human nature for you ,and i don’t want to use comment moderation every one has the right to their own opinion and constructive criticism is always welcome.
Still i like what i read here and i’ll be back !lol
The only thing i lack to visit every one is time.
Have a great weekend Will.
