Many Social Networking sites are being used to improve the traffic of your blog. Most of them provides information about your visitors so you can monitor and analyze what’s going on to your blog.

Progobbler.net cited that social networking sites like mybloglog and blogcatalog generates huge amount of traffic. It provides the information that gives you the knowledge base on what you should be concentrating on if you are looking for traffic.

In Mybloglog, you can join so many communities on different niches. You can choose communities on whatever niche that you want or start your own community. You can also customize your blog by adding widgets that you want.

Blogcatalog also allows you to join groups, customize your blog and participate in discussions or start your own discussion. Stumble upon also increase a website traffic.

Based on tutorialblog.org, StumbleUpon currently boast 7.5 million registered users. By downloading its toolbar, you can easily give websites thumbs up or down based on your rating, review them and send them to your friends in just one click. The more thumbs up and reviews to a website, the more chances of appearing in different categories.

If you are using wordpress as blogging platform, Preblogging suggested to use the digg and stumbleupon plug-in to your blog. You need to download the plug-in and upload it to your wp-content/plugins folder. Enable the plugin called “Increased Sociability” then go to the options tab and select sub tab “Increased Sociability”.
