Embrace Comments
What comments do you receive in your blog everyday? Is it good or bad? Whichever it is it will be wise to treat them both inspiring. Inspiring as in treating bad comments as a recommendation of improving your blog and good comments as a commendation that inspires you to do more.
First comment
I’ve received my first comment a couple of days before the birth of my blog. I didn’t know that that comment will change my blogging goal career. It motivates me to do more on helping my fellow blogger especially those who are just starting by posting helpful tips about blogging. Researching on improving a blog became a hobby to me.
I enjoy reading suggestions, recommendations and research on how to improve a blog and keep them in my blog posts to share to my precious readers. All of my readers are very dear to me. They keep on motivating me to do more about blogging tips and they return the favor to me by visiting my blog and commenting inspiring words of comments and helpful suggestions. Like nurturing a child, comments could be a very important thing in blogs which just starting.
The first comment on a blog could really give a great impact on a blog when it grows. Receiving a bad comment as first comment is very crucial. It could turn the author down that could make him abandon his blog and stop writing. The otherwise will be, he will write more and prove that the comment was wrong.
Bad comment
A bad comment’s that include harmful words gives stress to the author. An experience author knows how to handle this one. By moderating a comment you can avoid that comment to appear to your blog by simply deleting it. Advanced blogger usually grabs this comments to their blog and just let it appear to their blog.
As an experienced blogger they approve the comment to be read by readers and turn that blog comment into an opportunity to build their credibility. Before they reply on that comment, they understand first every detail what the commenter wanted to express. If they found that that comment is nothing but just a personal attack to them, they simply prove that the comment is wrong. It’s good to hear that his readers also reacts in the comment and protects the credibility of the author of the advanced blogger. I remember that in one of my post, I have written about running a SWOT analysis in improving a blog.
And one of the solution on solving a threat on a blog is to turn them into opportunity, and a bad comment will be rowed in the threat section. Bad comments could cause a libelous case, if the comment is very attacking personally on the author or to someone. The technology is evolving so quickly that it makes it easy to track those commenters, so you better be careful on what are you going to say in a comment box, to your blog, to the forums etc.
Good comment
I’m very proud to say that my readers really like my blog posts. I really appreciate their commendations on my blog and I feel like I’m doing a great job for them. It’s like I’m working on a charity as a volunteer to help my fellow bloggers on their ups and downs in all blogging aspects. That comments really motivates me in doing more about blogging tips and research on improving a blog.
It keeps my blog running on the right path on success because that comments is one of my goals that I have achieved in my blogging goal. It really makes me feel rich on every words that they say. Rich in motivation, rich in support, rich in inspiration and rich in success. Every day I receive good comments on my blog and every I feel good and motivated on writing new blogging tips that could help a blogger. That comments act like a life blood in my blog that keeps it on functioning well in the journey of a netrepreneur.
What you want to hear and what you need to hear
There are a lot of different on what you want to hear and what you need to hear. Of course what you want to hear is good, inspiring and motivating. There are some bloggers who expect to hear negative, bad and harmful comments on what they write. Whatever you wanted to hear, it’s always nice to expect on what you need to hear because that comments could improve your blog and make your blogging personality strong if the comment is so attacking.
“Bad comments could be an opportunity, if you only know how to handle them.”

Very nicely explained. Must say, our thoughts match up too a great extent. As a blogger myself, I know the importance of comments. Comments are great motivators for anyone who works hard to provide something useful for its readers.
Bad comments..its does hurt. But till now, I never had any such experience with my blogging. With technological advancements, people too have become more conscious of the fact that they can be penalized in anyway for bad commenting. Their IPs can be blocked at anytime and thus disabling them permanently from posting any comments. So,one should write good or just avoid commenting.

Great post…First, I never read the reviews of other before I review a site, I assess it carefully before writing a review. Anything worth my time in doing is worth taking the time to examining the content. To your question of bad reviews, my rule is never taking it personal. Your site has valuable post and information, great job.

No doubts, good comments act as a tonic for any blogger. As an avid blogger myself, I too have a very similar thought regarding what you said about good comments. Good comments motivate and inspire bloggers to come up with more useful and interesting content. whereas bad comments act as a demotivator for any blogger. One should forbid bad commenting. But yes, I would rather appreciate positive criticism. It will surely help me out in being a better blogger.

Thanks for another great post…most deserving of a comment! In blogger, you can control what the reader/commenter sees before he/she leaves a comment. Do you have any recommendation of what that should say? Mine says:
I love to receive comments and will even comment back 99% of the time! Please try to stay on topic! No bashing of other BLOGGERS will be tolerated and those kinds of comments as well as any spam will be deleted. Thanks for commenting!
I just wondered what you thought of that? I put that in like a disclaimer, because I was tired of people leaving comments that had absolutely nothing to do with the post! They can email me for those issues. I also had several bloggers “gang up” on another blogger, even calling her bad names and sadly even drew me into it. Of course I eventually deleted all of those comments, which was a shame, since they were totatally off topic. I felt the need after that to say I won’t tolerate people using my comment area for such activities!
I like to see somewhat detailed comments too, and I guess it’s better than nothing, but I can’t stand to get a brief comment such as “nice post.” It makes me wonder if they even read the post!
So do you have any suggestions on what should go in that comment form instructions? What do you think of what I have in mine? Thanks!
Keep up the good work!

I meant to say the comments I had to delete were NOT totally off topic, but I had to delete them anyway. To my knowledge in blogger you cannot “edit” a comment, but only keep or delete it. So, it was a shame that I had to delete several comments that did refer to my blog post topic, but at the same time they had derogatory things about another blogger. Hope that makes sense and clear that up.
