As we blog about our niche, there are times that someone will comment on us negatively. Sometimes, it really hurt us that could cause  disappointment and losing our desire of reaching our goal.

Misunderstanding on an article happens when you and someone disagree with each others point of view. And sometimes someone just wanted to be argumentative so they leave negative comments.

How to avoid an article to be commented negatively?

Research on your article to be created thoroughly
When you started blogging on a specific issue. You will be researching on that one and find the answers on how to solve that issue.

Find supporting articles to your blog and use it as a backtracks on your blog. In this way your article will be supported by these articles.

Double check first if the supporting article you are using will have the most significant point of views on that issue. How can you determine that?

Simply by looking on the comments on the article. A social proof is one of the most comprehensive basis on using an article.

Make sure to ask permission to the author of the article to make sure that the author’s consent will be given to you in using the article.

If the article is not that confidential, there is no need to ask permission. Simply linking on that site will be enough, the author will just approve your link if finds it worth linking.

Check, then recheck before publishing
It is always a must to double check your works on errors before publishing it to your blog.

These errors could start the misunderstanding between you and your reader. So check, then recheck your work before publishing it to avoid future misconceptions.

How to respond to negative comments on your blog?

After publishing your article, of course you are confident that you have write the most informative blog on the web. But when you open your blogging community inbox or your blog admin’s comment box, you found a massive rejection on your article. And some or nothing agrees on your article. Do not reply immediately!

Don’t respond to comments when you’re angry. It is always a good move to separate yourself first in the problem. You better go outside your house and take deep breaths of fresh air.

Understand your reader’s intent of commenting
Like what I’ve said, misunderstanding may be the main cause of receiving a negative comment on your blog.

Maybe there are some topics on your blog that you need to clarify to your reader. Reply only to those comment that needed to be clarified by you. That could solve most of the negative comments on your blog.

Think positively when all thinks negatively
Prove that what you have write is correct if you are confident that it is. Accept corrections if you find yourself wrong, but reply on that comment nicely. Think of that comment as an advice of improving your blog content.

If there is no explanation needed, don’t explain. Just accept the rejection and apologize for your misconception and go on blogging. Remember that yesterday is history and tomorrow is another day.
