Stepping into the world of blog for beginners can be both confusing and time wasting. While experience is the best teacher, let me introduce you a way of choosing a nice topic of your blog based on my experience.

I will suggest to read first my article blogging tips for beginners where I stated the way of choosing a good blog title, design and tag line. It is very significant to have a good topic which relevant to your blog title.

Narrow down your topic as narrow as possible.  If you going to run a blog with a broad topic, there will be so much topic to tackle. You may be searching for a topic that people are searching for in search engines like yahoo, google etc. All day, there are so many things that you could write about. And people will search on that into your blog.

But here comes the question,

Are these topic are still popular the next week or month?

Maybe it will, but tons of writers are writing about that topic. There will be a growing competition on that single topic, and soon your topic will become one of those tiny fishes swimming in the huge ocean of the web.

It is always better to be one of the biggest fish in a small pond than being a tiny fish in a huge pond, where the pond will stand as the topic and the fish as your blog.

Make sure you have enough content in the topic of your choice to keep your blog rolling. Having a very narrow topic gives you less stress of searching what to blog today, for the next week and for the month. Now you are worry free of what to blog because you have a very narrow topic, focus on that single topic and create a lot of articles in that one.

Why don’t you CREATE A LIST of what to blog for the week. After creating a list, save all your energy on that list and release them in making the best post on each one. In creating a “what to blog list” for the week, you have the freedom to write what you want and DON’T FORCE YOURSELF to write about the one who is next to be written.

Why don’t you just ADD the topic that interest you in the list and mark it done when you are done writing about it. Then go back to the one that you supposed to write.

Always remember that you always have the freedom to write what you want but in order to create a low or no competition at all, create a very narrow topic. You will also have to build a commitment of what you are trying to convey to your readers and make sure you have enough content to keep your blog rolling.

Do not depend on the popular topics. As I have been said to my first step of choosing a unique topic for your blog, narrow down your topic. Keep in mind that diving in a popular topic will direct you to massive competition.

Energy, passion and interest about a topic is always more important than the popularity of topic which doesn’t interests you. How can you write about something that you don’t want or doesn’t express what you really want to convey?

You will be tied up into a maze of searching the right words to write about something you don’t want. But if you like what you write, there will be  thousand of words coming out from you to supply your blog’s content.

Be confident about your topic. Building relationship to your readers takes a lot of effort to be done. An effort of crafting your best post for them, an effort of searching and studying the topic you want to convey and an effort of building a good personality in blogging.

A blog can be described by its content. In order to attract readers, an author of a blog should be confident of what he was trying to convey.

Who will believe into someone that is not sure of what he was saying?

None. So choose a blog topic that will boost your confidence in writing. A topic which YOU are the only source of its content. A topic that is 100% original and 100% accurate.
