Evolution is essential in a blog. A blog’s design is one of the things that attracts a reader. By your design, it reflects the your personality, the niche of your blog and it’s maturity.

Tag line

One of the first thing that a readers will notice is your tag line. It could also be the one that will criticize your content. By your tag line you are defining the whole content of your blog. What your blog is all about, what audiences your blog has and what topics are there in your blog. Choosing the right word for your tag line is very critical. You need to choose what is best for your blog that simply describes the whole content of your blog.

Guidelines in making a tag line:

  1. Your tag line should be short, easy to remember.
  2. Your tag line should be related to your blog.
  3. Your tag line should describe the whole content of your blog.

With this guideline, building a tag line will be easy. Try building a tag line that inspire people. Here in bloghob, where I tackle topics about building traffic on a blog, the tag line that I have created is problogging. I’ve realized that that tag line couldn’t describes best what would be the niche of bloghob so I’ve changed my tag line to Netrepreneurs Journey which gives me more energy and elasticity to blog my journey on blogging.

Sidebar

Blog’s sidebar is a very useful tool for readers. Here, they can easily find the latest gadgets and widgets that you include in your blog, the sponsors of the blog, the latest post, comments etc.

Having a clear sidebar will be more presentable to readers. Putting a lot of gadgets can lead your reader’s experience miserable. So it is wise to put only the necessary widgets that your readers might need. Of course blog ads and sponsorship is always placed in the sidebar, because that will be a nice place to deliver your readers your endorsement to your sponsors.

Content

You always wanted the content of your blog to be more interesting. So you should be searching the web about the latest trends on your niche. That if you were on a search engine niche. Daily visitors will be better. But if you are blogging on the niche of your choice (not based on search engine popular), you will enjoy having tribes of your fans impressed by your great content and writing style.

Own point of view

In rebuilding your blog, you are the one who have the decision on changing your design in whatever you think will be more interesting to your readers. People’s suggestion on building the design of your blog could help, but the main frame of the layout of your blog will be based on your style. This will be another factor to consider is caring our readers.  It would be better if your design is related to your niche or very clear and reader friendly.
